CHARITY ROAD TRIP

On August 30, 2024, employees of PMG Hotels & Resorts set out on a heartfelt charity road trip to the Semara Putra orphanage in Klungkung and SDN 5 in Desa Ban. Nestled at the foot of the imposing Mount Agung, the school in Desa Ban is in a region that starkly contrasts with the lush images often associated with Bali. This area is dry and arid, with dust clinging to trees and homes, where water is a precious and rare commodity. The experience was profoundly humbling, highlighting the resilience and spirit of the local communities. This charity program was organized by our colleagues at Bali Niksoma Beach Resort.

“Welcome to our classroom, where we’re gathering for a special day.” With six classrooms, 117 students, eight teachers, and one security guard, this school is  an important part of this community.

“Look… presents!” Despite all their hardships, the children’s faces light up with joy and excitement, reminding us of the power of simple moments.
