Charity Road Trip
A charity road trip organized by Bali Niksoma for PMG Hotels & Resorts employees gets underway on 30 August 2024. We are visiting SDN5, an elementary school, in Desa Ban.
Unlike Bali’s lush image Desa Ban, at the foot of Mt. Agung, is a dry and dusty region, with water being a rare and precious resource. The journey brought deeper awareness of local challenges and community resilience.
Then it is on to Semara Putra, a local orphanage, in Klungkung. We spent time with the children bringing gifts of mattresses for better sleep. The experience at both stops is both humbling and heartwarming, leaving lasting memories of connection. We wish them the very best!

The elementary school at Desa ban – although having only six classrooms, 117 students, eight teachers, and one security guard-is clearly an important part of the community. Moreover, most of the children attending school live just 1–2 km away. They’re waiting for our visit today
Children’s faces lighting up with joy and excitement – in short, reminding us of the power of presents making memorable moments!

At Semara Putra Orphanage, Klungkung gifting mattresses for a more comfortable night’s sleep for the the kids. Above all, we sincerely wish them the very best for the future.
